Star brite Waterproofing Spray

Star brite waterproofing is excellent for protecting most fabrics, vinyls, and leathers that are exposed to the elements. Easy to use and it doesn’t change the feel or breathability of the fabric, without affecting fabric colors, waterproofing helps prevent mildew stains and rot, and even helps repel bird droppings and stains.

Prep surface: Start with a clean surface. Make sure fabric is completely dry before waterproofing.

Directions: shake thoroughly. Apply enough waterproofing with sprayer, brush or sponge to completely wet top surface. Take care to avoid overspray, dripping or penetration onto surfaces not being treated. Let drive for six hours before using. Do not fold or store treated item until dry.

this product uses a solvent base to distribute the polymers deep into the fabric for maximum performance and longevity and works great with most quality fabrics like traditional sunbrella. However, not all fabric types are compatible with the solvent based waterproofing. Economy, level material like polyester and urethane back fabrics are gaining a popularity, but not compatible with solvents. Please check with fabric manufacturer on material type before use. Also note that solvent base products can affect the glue/adhesive used on marine carpeting. Starbright has developed a water-based waterproofing that is designed to get best results in these non-compatible fabrics and adhesives.
